To my non-Malaysian friends, “kuih” (pronounced koo-eh) is a general term for these little desserts we have. I have many many many favourites, but one rather high on the list, is tepung pelita. I have no idea how you would translate that into English but quite frankly, I don’t really care. I had it today and it’s just really good.
It’s coconut milk with rice flour on top and pandan on the bottom, and it is everything that is right with this country.
